EuTimé, Chef's Footprints


EuTimé aims to install in an evocative place, open to the public and to visit, the handprints of chefs who are fundamental to the history of cuisine.

By fundamental, we certainly mean big names with a sure media impact, including international ones, but we will pay special attention to emerging chefs who can distinguish themselves by an innovative mission in line with the new demands of today's society, such as green cuisine with a low environmental impact on the planet.

There is no prestige award for chefs: the star accompanies restaurants, sometimes creating Kafkaesque situations. We want to give the most deserving chefs the recognition of an imperishable fame.
Chefs' hands are the fundamental and irreplaceable tool of their art: that is why Eutimé and Convivium photograph and publish them, immortalizing them in close-up.
Our image galleries will host in this pose all the chefs visited and "nominated" for the laying of the prints: in this way, there will also be a virtual Hall of Fame to complement and complete the physical one.

EuTimé is a fictional name created by combining two words from ancient Greek: Eu "good" / Timé "public esteem of a person".
The emphasis on the final "e" is emphasized by representing it with the stylized infinity symbol.
The word EuTimé also plays on assonances and similarities with English: TIME, time in English, introduces the concept that impressions remain in time, with a time continuum. EU recalls Europe.

Each "form" with handprints will contain the Chef's name, date and autograph signature.
A QR Code will be placed next to each imprint which will refer to the biography and further information on the Eutimé website.

Each "module" will be appropriately positioned in the dedicated area, which we imagine as an equipped and panoramic walkway in a privileged location, which hosts the artifacts with good visibility.
(something similar to the sites of La Croisette in Cannes and the Walk of Fame in Hollywood, where the protagonists are the actors).

As a corollary and neuralgic part of the project, we have imagined the creation of an event / award ceremony on an annual basis, during which the chefs appropriately identified during the selection process, will have their hands cast to be added to the permanent installations in the dedicated visit space, which will become richer year by year...

Convivium, a guide to restaurants and hotels with 5 decades of experience in the field, will take an active part in the work of selecting the candidates during the year, taking advantage of the synergy of its activity of systematic visits to the most relevant food and wine realities.
